‘Soaring Gaze’ was created with appreciation of nature in mind. I feel lucky to see such beauty all around me in nature and the butterflies in the painting come from a picture I had taken in my garden (my happy place), where I captured two butterflies on the same flower. I had never seen two butterflies on the same flower before and was in awe at the beauty of the two butterflies moving around each other so beautifully, and decided I wanted to use this special picture to create ‘Soaring Gaze’.
